Meet Matroesjka. This comedy duo is nominated for ‘Annie MG Schmidtprijs 2015’ with the song #Imalive. We are lucky to give away two songs from their latest EP.

We are the very first and only ‘techno comedy duo’ from the Netherlands. Which means: thick beats with harsh jokes! We met each other at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, where we both studied singing. It appeared that we both have a penchant for filthy beats and we could imitate a ‘Russian Internet Bride’ perfectly. At that moment we decided to continue as a duo and Matroesjka was born. We were very proud of winning the Audience Award on the Amsterdam Cabaret Festival in 2014.
Theatre: Eeuwig Vlees (Eternal Meat)
Since January 2016 we are touring through The Netherlands with our debut performance ‘Eeuwig Vlees’. This year we are going to perform at Lowlands as well in August! We love to switch characters while we sing at the top of our lungs. In addition, we write every week a topical song for Giel Beelen on 3FM and are reporters for CJP and Humor TV. And last but not least: our song #Imalive is nominated for the Dutch award ‘Annie MG Schmidtprijs 2015’!
